My Background

I began with a Brownie 65 years ago. By the late '60s, in my Ansel Adams phase, I was shooting the "Brick" (Argus C3 rangefinder), the poor man's Leica.  In '69 I moved on to a Topcon TTL SLR with  4-5 super-sharp Topcor "prime"  lenses and stayed with the Topcon for two decades. Along the way, I also used everything from a "Technical" 4x5 to a 3000fps 35mm high-speed movie camera that went through a large reel of 35mm film in seconds.   These days all I want and need is a good phone, a Canon G11, and a Canon 7D SLR with three zoom lenses spanning the 10-300mm range.
